Golden Bear award at the Berlin Film Festival and great box-office success, “Alcarràs” reaffirms Carla Simón’s talent (“Verano 1003”) as one of the great figures in Spanish moviemaking. In her own words: “Alcarràs is a story about belonging to a land, to a place. A drama about the ongoing generational conflicts, overcoming old traditions and the importance of family unity in times of crisis.”
