LA GLORIA

La Gloria is an initiation that explores the concept of vulnerability understood as strength. A state in which the performer perceives herself as an ephemeral and finite being and establishes her own connection with beauty.

A cathartic journey, a “monstruous” shock, a revolutionary act, a manifestation with batucada, and a marathon.

The process of vulnerability as a revolutionary act, of courage and power bestowed to those who, being vulnerable, transcend normativity. Vulnerable bodies are more honest because they demand to be recognized as vulnerable, and it is there when Gloria appears, in the game of the monstruous dismantling.

“El saberse vulnerable ya implica un alcance de sabiduría. El reconocimiento de nuestra finitud es lo que nos da poder y nos hace grandes en el conjunto del Cosmos. La apreciación de la vulnerabilidad es potencia”. Blaise Pascal
