CHOIR OF THE UNIVERSITY OF SEVILLE

The University of Seville Choirwas founded in 1961 and, in keeping with the dynamic nature of university choirs, has continued to exist and regenerate itself. In its more than fifty years of existence, it has performed numerous musical activities, from concerts with orchestras and international premieres to the recording of several albums. 

Over the years, its directors have been: Luis Izquierdo, Fernando España, Francisco García Nieto, Vicente Sanchís, José Manuel Delgado, Juan Luis Pérez, Pedro Caballero, and José Carlos Carmona. Currently, the Musical Director of the University of Seville Choir is María Jesús Pacheco Caballero.

The University of Seville Choir is partof the University of Seville Center for Cultural Initiatives (CICUS). It has around 60 permanent members, of whom around 15 are scholarship holders, and has a Technical Director and a Musical Director. 

Throughout its long history, the University of Seville Choir has performed vocal repertoire from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, participating in institutional events at the University and performing on stages throughout Spain.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

The choir is currently accepting new members. This process is open to students, faculty, staff, former members of the university community, and interested individuals.
